Jeff Lynne’s ELO, the trendy incarnation of Jeff Lynne and his band Electrical Gentle Orchestra, have introduced a farewell tour. Dubbed The Over and Out Tour, the reveals will happen throughout North America this fall, starting on August 24 in Palm Desert, California and lasting on via to October 25 when the band will conclude their goodbye run in Los Angeles. Electrical Gentle Orchestra spent their authentic run releasing beloved pop-rock and prog data within the ’70s and ’80s earlier than disbanding in 1986. Jeff Lynne went on to document two solo albums of his personal, 1990’s Armchair Theatre and 2012’s Lengthy Wave, earlier than reforming the group below the moniker Jeff Lynne’s ELO in 2014. The newly regrouped band wrote two albums collectively: 2015’s Alone within the Universe and 2019’s From Out of Nowhere.
Again in 2020, Jeff Lynne was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), an honor that he stated he was “extraordinarily humbled and grateful” to obtain. “To be recognised for my work is a unprecedented privilege,” he added.
