Final month, Danish indie rock trio Efterklang launched the track “Getting Reminders.” It seems that’s taken from their new album Issues We Have In Widespread, which they’ve introduced at the moment. The second single “Plant” is out now, and it options Guatemalan musician Mabe Fratti on cello and vocals.

“Plant” comes with a music video directed and created by Søren Lynggaard and Niels Buhl Henriksen. Vocalist Casper Clausen defined that “Plant” is “a track devoted to the act of reaching out, past ourselves, daring to transcend our inside world and share ourselves with others, placing our vulnerability on show, like a plant reaching for the sunshine. This is likely one of the first songs we wrote for the brand new album, and it’s been an extended journey, ranging from a sketch by our longtime buddy, collaborator, and co-founder of Efterklang, pianist Rune Mølgaard.”

Issues We Have In Widespread completes the trilogy of 2019’s Altid Sammen and 2021’s Windflowers. Pianist and composer Rune Mølgaard, who left the band after 2007’s Parades, co-wrote seven of the 9 songs on the LP.
