Poland‘s Ministry of Tradition has dismissed Radosław Śmigulski as director of the Polish Movie Institute (PFI) in a transfer that has despatched shockwaves throughout the native movie business even when it was not wholly surprising.
Minister of Tradition and Cultural Heritage Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz introduced Śmigulski’s dismissal in a press convention on Thursday.
Śmigulski was amongst three cultural establishment administrators and one analysis institute head, appointed beneath the rule of Poland’s former right-wing Regulation and Justice Get together-led authorities, faraway from their roles within the sweep.
