The brand new, inspirational documentary, Name Me Dancer, can be in theaters beginning December 15. A narrative of perseverance, ardour, tradition and an unlikely friendship, Name Me Dancer follows a road dancer from Mumbai, Manish Chauhan, who struggles in opposition to his dad and mom’ insistence that he comply with a standard path. Then, he meets a curmudgeonly Israeli ballet grasp, who evokes him to comply with his goals. Directed by Leslie Shampaine and Pip Gilmour, Abramorama will launch the movie in theaters beginning in New York theatrical engagement at The Quad Cinema.
Chauhan is now a dancer with Peridance Modern Dance Firm in NYC, and would be the lead within the firm’s upcoming rendition of The Nutcracker beginning December 7. Shampaine is a former skilled ballet dancer for over 13 years.
Since its world premiere on the Santa Barbara Worldwide Movie Pageant this previous February, Name Me Dancer has been receiving essential and viewers acclaim, and has received 11 awards at movie festivals all over the world. It will likely be taking part in within the upcoming Hamptons Doc Fest and has already received the Artwork & Inspiration Award.
Name Me Dancer guarantees to take viewers on a magical journey, from the streets of Mumbai to the levels of New York. Filmed in India, Israel, the UK and the U.S., it’s a story of perseverance, revolt, ardour, household, tradition and an unlikely friendship.
